Did I mention I’m really bad at keeping blogs?

Well, all y’all internet people are in for a treat, cos I’m going to post THREE PLAYLISTS tonight before I go out to see my friends from Victor’s Lament play a reunion show. EXCITING~

So, the 2/12 playlist came before Valentine’s Day, and originally I was going to do a theme show. I had off from class that Wednesday, which should have given me a leg up on work but I think I wasted it on Facebook. As usual, I came into the station with no idea what was going to happen. There was no way I could have foreseen playing Bruce Springsteen and Old Crow Medicine Show AND The Dead Milkmen on an indietronica-type playlist. ((I had to play The Boss. My dad requested it.))

I ran my first radio show of the semester today, and I think it was my best “first show” yet. I was a little worried that I wouldn’t know enough music to play over three hours (I’d previously only hosted 2-hour shows) but it turned out to be surprisingly easy.

I’m really happy about some of the new releases. Hot Chip and Los Campesinos! have full-length albums, and Animal Collective released an EP earlier last month.
